Campbell California is nestled at the west end of San Jose and is bordered by Los Gatos, Saratoga, Santa Clara and Cupertino. Campbell as a city, got it's start in the mid 1800's when hay farmer Benjamin Campbell, farmed his 160 acres where Downtown Campbell is today. Benjamin went on to actively promote Campbell as a farming community and the area later became one of the most productive orchards in California. Most of the orchards are now gone but the town remains a unique community with a great downtown.
Downtown Campbell today is a charming mix of restaurants, shops galleries and services. It reminds you of a quiaint downtown in a rural town but in fact, Campbell is central to everything in the south bay.
Minutes from San Jose Mineta International Airport, it is home to many involved in the high tech business of Silicon Valley. Campbell has many smaller residential neighborhoods, each with their own characteristics.
If you are looking for a place to raise a family in the South Bay, Campbell offers a lot. Clean safe neighborhoods are a great start but when you factor in the great public schools Campbell is known for, you quickly realize what a great place Campbell is to raise a family and to call home.
Real Estate in Campbell is moderately priced in the area. Certainly homes are cheaper than in neighboring Saratoga and Los Gatos yet they may seem pricy compared to homes in much of neighboring San Jose.
When you consider buying a home, Location is important and you won't find locations much better than Campbell. 
Within minutes you can be in Downtown San Jose, shoping at Santana Row, having dinner in Los Gatos or hiking along the Los Gatos Creek Trail which runs right through Campbell.
Commuting is a breeze with east access to Highways 17/880 and 280. Plus as an added bonus, the light rail runs right by the downtown area of Campbell.
As mentioned earlier, there are distinct sub neighborhoods within the city of Campbell. Some of these have bigger lots, some have older homes, some have many newer homes. Some are nearer to shopping and some are in areas that are up and coming. Generally, homes near downtown are the most expensive but there are some great bargins if you look.
